Cold Weather Safety Tips For Your Pets | Dogalize
A few tips to face winter time and cold weather:
- If you use a dog sweater, always make sure it stays dry and change it if it becomes damp. Wet and damp clothing can make your dog colder and cause health problems.
- Take your pet to the vet for a checkup. Cold weather is often related to heath issues.
- Snow can affect a dog’s sense of smell and he may lose his way home. Microchip your pets and give them an identification tag so they can be returned to you.
- Cats are attracted to the warmth of cars and love sleeping underneath and on top of them. Always tap on the hood to alert any sleeping cat before you move the car.
