Missing dog: a blind dog recovered after a week! Thanks to the guy that saved him!
This is a beautiful story about what happens when a missing dog is recovered in an uncomfortable zone, full of dangers and with no odds at all. And the dog was blind!
The story happened in California, on the mountains of Santa Cruz. The area is hilly and full of forests (and dangers), so when Sage the blind labrador dog got lost her mom, Beth Cole, thought Sage was very difficult to rescue.
Missing dog: luckily the story went well!
Luckily for all the group, a friend of Beth and actually her neighbour, named Dan Estrada, went for a hike in that same mountains and after a long walk he found something by a stream. Unbelievably, that ball of fur was Sage herself!
So, mr. Estrada managed to reach the dog and, after verifying that Sage was too weak to walk, he carried her onto his shoulders to bring her to a safer zone. Then, he hugged and kissed the dog (about whose destiny everyone was worried) and managed to call for help.
Sage was brought to the hospital and, later, home. Dan Estrada, that reconnected the dog and her master, is now recognized as a real hero but he doesn’t want to: “I was not searching for this dog” said to a local newspaper.
“I’m not the hero of the hour, I’m not the hero of the mountain. This is God giving them a gift”.
