The Catwoman Costume: a pretty popular costume

The Catwoman Costume

The Catwoman Costume

Most of us probably have the memory of Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costume from Batman Returns (1992). Or how about the sexy outfit created for Halle Berry in Catwoman (2004).  Then we have the hint of a Catwoman played by Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

If you are planning to disguise on the Catwoman costume, you will probably want to hear Hathaway’s opinion about it. She called it a “psychological terrorist”. The “best” part, Michelle Pfeiffer agrees!

In an interview with E!Online, Pfeiffer said, “It was probably really unhealthy and it would literally just start to squeeze my skin. I was only allowed to wear it for so many hours.”

Hathaway spoke to Allure Magazine and shared her gym experience for The Dark Knight Rises and Les Miserables. The costume “was a psychological terrorist,” she said. “The suit, thoughts of my suit, changing my life so I would fit into that suit… It dominated my year. I went into the gym for ten months and didn’t come out.”

Well, but if you still would like to make one for yourself, we guess that fitting yourself into a leather costume is well worth the costume party first prize.

A pretty popular costume

Although it is probably not as popular as Harley Quinn has become after the Suicide Squad film, Catwoman costume has had its own popularity through the years. There seem to be many girls out there in love with Selina Kyle and wanting to cosplay her the best they can.

Of course, you will probably spot Batman and Catwoman making a majestic entrance into the party. This couple is also a favorite.

Many online stores sell the Catwoman costume at prices that range from $30 to $60. Get yourself one and be the cute feline of the party.  Just don´t ask any opinions from Anne Hathaway or Michelle Pfeiffer. They will talk you out of it!
