Black Cat anime
The Black Cat anime is probably just a name given to a guy, but since we love cats and we totally love anime too, we thought it would be a good idea to give it a mention.
Firstly, we’ll start by saying the Black Cat anime is actually an adaptation of the manga series “Shonen Jump” written by Kentaro Yabuki. It made its debut on Animax, in Japan on October 6, 2005. It was a 24-episode anime.
For North America, Viz Media licensed the manga series for its publication in English. All 20 volumes have been published as of 2009.
Black Cat anime: plot
Black Cat anime tells the story of Train Heartnet, also known as Black Cat, member assassin of Chronos.
Chronos is an organization bent towards world peace that controls one-third of the world’s economy. It does this through exerting an underground control over pretty much any type of business. In turn, it keeps this under control by hiring special elite assassins known as the Chrono numbers.
Train Heartnet, the Black Cat is the thirteenth Chrono Number. He meets a Sweeper named Saya who convinces him that he has the power to decide whether to kill his victims or not. This is when he decides to leave Chronos. But Creed Diskenths does not like the way Saya changes Heartnet´s heart, so he murders her.
Two years pass and Train Heartnet has become a Sweeper. The story follows how he and his partners Sven Vollfied and Eve travel as bounty hunters. But Train holds a vicious grudge against Creed and can’t wait to have the opportunity to get revenge for Saya.
Black Cat anime: characters
There actually are several characters in the Black Cat anime but we will only mention the three main ones, which are Train and his two partners.
- Train Heartne, aka Black Cat, is the main character and has partnered to bounty hunt with Sven Vollfied. He is called that due to the misfortune that his wake brings. His trademark line to his target is, “I’ve come to deliver some bad luck”.
- Sven Vollfied is a sweeper with a strong code of chivalry. He is very proper and a gentleman with women and children.
- Eve (princess) is a genetically-engineered bio weapon. Thus, her personality is robotic and straightforward.
